Toshiba ribbons are available in various grades to suit virtually any application in every market, from mass-produced short-term label printing and RFID tags, up to highly specialised identification techniques using advanced resin products.  And with over 30 years of experience, you can be sure Toshiba ribbons ensure optimum print quality.

TOSHIBA TEC AG2 or WR1E Genuine Wax / Resin Ribbon

• Wax / resin ribbon, smearless.
• General purpose.
• Available in colours.

For corner / near-edge printers The WR1E is the new grade name for the AG2 grade.  The WR1E is a multi-purpose wax / resin product and is Toshiba’s most popular ribbon type for near edge printers.  Its highly versatile performance fulfills the needs of most standard applications.  It lays down a clear and sharp printed image on most label stocks, from uncoated and glossy papers to synthetics.

Withstanding heat up to 100 °C (212 °F) with a blackness of 2.2 (ODR) the WR1E will give good levels of mechanical resistance and, as with all Toshiba ribbon products, its superior back coating will prevent static build-up and clogging, and offer the very best in printhead protection.  Toshiba WR1E ribbons – high quality smearless printing!

For flat-head printers The WS1F is the new grade name for the AW1F grade.  A new generation product: WR1F is a wax quality developed to complement the new generation of flat-head printers.  It offers excellent print performance on a wide range of receiving materials but at a really competitive price point.  It has high sensitivity and therefore runs at lower temperatures and higher speeds, with improved blackness of 2.1 (ODR) Toshiba WR1F ribbons – Super value quality printing!

• Suited to most synthetic label materials.

For corner / near-edge printers The RS1E is the new grade name for the AS1 grade.  The RS1E is a new generation resin ribbon developed for applications requiring excellent mechanical and solvent resistance.  It is the recommended product for use in harsh environment label printing for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.  The RS1 is compatible with most synthetic materials, and some matt and high gloss coated papers.  It will withstand temperatures of up to 180 ºC (356 ºF) and has a blackness of 1.8 (ODR).  It also offers the very best in printhead protection, as with all Toshiba ribbon products.  Toshiba AS1 is the preferred choice for all images destined for harsh situations.
